In order to establish what Gregg Communications' commitment will be in the future, we think it is essential to have a good understanding of our past. Gregg Communications began in 1967. Over the past 40 years, we have represented 15 different manufacturers. Our average manufacturer/Dealer relationship has lasted over 15 years. Thus, Gregg delivers the long-term stability of our company, along with a close relationship with our suppliers, and extends that to the relationship with all of our clients.

There is a very appropriate example of how well Gregg supports its customers with one of our oldest suppliers. We installed 70 of their ACD systems during 1986 and 1987 that were still in operation in 2003, some 17 years later. In fact, we still support at least one of these systems today. The manufacturer discontinued production and support of these products in 1990. Thus, for over 20 years, Gregg was been able to support these systems with no manufacturer assistance or manufacturer provided parts.

The time frame in this example is not out of the ordinary for the length of time that some of our customers will continue to benefit from the systems they purchase from us. Because of the quality of the products we have supplied, and due to Gregg’s commitment to exceptional support of those products, the time frame that Gregg has supported its products typically exceeds the point in time at which the manufacturers discontinue support.

We have been able to do an excellent job in this area because of the quality of our people. Gregg has attracted and retained highly dedicated and talented people to supply and support products to its clients. The average employee has been with Gregg for 19 years. Therefore, the experience and expertise already is resident within our company when dealing with almost all support issues. We rarely require support from the manufacturer. 

In fact, over the years, several manufacturers have come to us and/or referred other Dealers to us for help in solving problems!
